It feels like the prequels tried to show how anakin proves that the jedi order is so far removed from the general public that it basically doesnt get anything done(although they pretty much missed the mark so much that i wouldve thought it was a papi bomb). The fact that the jedi code undermines basic human nature creates a situation where even the most accomplished jedi (for example obi wan) are troubled by their past and the fact that they have to ignore their feelings.
