In Steam go to Settings -> In-Game
The last option is a drop down menu "In-Game server browser: Max pings / minute".
Set it to the lowest (250) then work your way up until your Internet crashes again and use the highes working value (or one below that to be safe).
Oh, that actually worked, wow, thanks. Managed to go up to 1000, then my internet was going down again.

mousiopeyour router is the problem, you can limit the ammount of connections on the steam options
I dont think that has anything to do with my issue here. I'm not downloading anything.

EtneyI've been having the exact same issue as of late. It doesn't always happen though, only sometimes. If I have a stream or youtube video up and watching, it'll continue to play perfectly but any new connections get blocked.
Yup, that, it seems really weird to me.

I'm having a really odd problem with my internet that's been happening quiet often lately. When I open a server browser in TF2 and refresh the servers, my internet just straight up crashes, but not the usual crash, Windows still shows my computer as connected to the network, for example when I'm in Discord while the internet crashes, I'm still connected to it and I can hear the other person and he can hear me, BUT everything else internet related just doesnt load; websites, Steam and even the refreshing in TF2 stops.
It usually goes back up in ~2 minutes (or if I restart my router), but it's frustrating when it happens all the time.
I've tried resetting factory settings for my router, tried connecting through wifi instead of ethernet. But nothing worked, problem still occurs.
Router that I'm using is ZyXEL P-660HN-T3A (provided by my ISP) with the latest firmware I found on my ISP's website (3.40(TSP.4)b2).
I've had the same internet and router for about 2-3 years and it has only been happening for the last month.
Can anyone help me with this?
EDIT: Problem also SOMETIMES happens when I'm downloading torrents for a long period of time but then I have to restart my router.

I told Sa3lence to contact truktruk and ask if truktruk'd give him the main channel so Sa3lence can revive it. Not sure if he's done that yet but for now we have the new channel
i believe truktruk is unwilling to give the channel to others (he's been offered before), but since sa3lence has kinda 'proven' himself by having this channel here he might be willing to
I didn't ask truktruk if he'd give me the channel, because if I remember correctly when he was talking about the channel on stream, he said that he wouldn't give the channel to anyone he doesn't know so. SkyeadyskyWhen you are a party leader and click the start search button it resets your config to default, gibs and everything. I only just realised how disgusting stock tf2 is.
If you're not trying to solo queue, let a friend start the search for you. That way you can still use your graphics cfg
That's really weird that this is a thing. But anyway, I'm gonna let my buddy queue us up, thanks!

While the game still looks really bad, just shiny characters, gibs and ragdolls. Textures and antialiasing at the lowest, but i still get like 30fps at most, is it like this for anyone else, isnt it kind of weird? (I know it's temporary for the stress tests only btw, just wondering)
