kaidusI don't understand.. How does an internet charity event gather this much traction before anyone inquires as to whether the person behind it is trustworthy. This guy is clearly mentally handicapped but I'm really surprised it got this far before anyone else involved/actively supporting it decided to do their homework.
While it should've been noticed earlier to be fair a lot of real life scams have gone on for several years (Madoff) without anybody noticing.
It's just good people caught on now before more bad stuff could happen.

NastybutlerNastybutler, Admin on the ReSurfed network. We (as a network) welcome charity events such as these, (FtC, ToTH...and whoever else comes to us) with arms wide open, but as I see fit, if things like this do manage to turn up, ReSurfed will always come first in my eyes. I, personally, will not take sides on any matter that turns up, only the side of the network we spent the last year building and trying to perfect to keep a base community active within the confines of TF2. Although I do not speak for the rest of the staff of ReSurfed, as they all have their own opinions on the matter; I fully trust they make rightful decisions upon imposing situations. If something does manage to turn up, it will be dealt with accordingly. Likewise, I do hope this is all just petty hearsay and things will turn out just fine.
Some of you know my reputation. This now has MY attention.
Why is a man of such power and importance such as yourself posting on a thread full of peasants such as this?
Seriously dude nobody cares if you're an admin of anything unless it directly pertains to FTC.

Red_Yeah dude they totally chose to have civil wars every 5 years and choose to not work and have sex with 8 different women every week so that they get aids and aren't able to work. If you take it from that angle a lot of it is self inflicted. People get aids they can't work countries get poorer and poorer and then ebola spreads and they kiss the dead people that died from it spreading it further and so on and so forth. That's just my view on it so it's debatable as everything is when it's someones thoughts.
I very rarely ever post here but this really caught my attention, because this sort of reasoning is reminiscent of the reasoning certain people used when conflicts in Rwanda were starting to emerge prior to the atrocities that now make residents of first-world countries cringe and regret never doing anything, and was Clinton's self-admitted biggest mistake he ever made as a president. No, this isn't the same type of issue, and I don't advocate U.S. intervention in every foreign issue, but this isolationist reasoning with regard to Africa is really dangerous. Also, going on a tirade like that also makes you look ignorant in the first place and only perpetuates the stereotype that Americans are blissfully unaware of foreign affairs.
