gl with the writing my man

Thanks nuze, I have always been terrible at every subject except for English and writing. While studying Literature I have also been writing short stories and have even been trying to write movie scripts (which is incredibly difficult).

For a while now i've been working on a story about a family in Holland in 1945. It's heavily based off the album "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" and is about a family trying to escape the nazis in Holland. I hope to publish it to everyone some day as I feel like it is going very well and as my grandfather was a teenager in Holland who had to hide from the nazis for his entire childhood I feel like I have a lot of good material and it is partially autobiographical of his life.

TwiggyAre Christians (replace with whatever keyword you want i couldnt care less about specific groups) more persecuted, or are there just more Christians?

No, actually despite being the most popular religion on the planet, Christians are still disproportionately persecuted around the world.

TwiggyIf you want to have a clear unbiased opinion you should volunteer to a Christian humanitary group and go get first hand experience of what you read in the news.

Twiggy this is not how fake news works. If I was gay and went to Pakistan to volunteer and had a glass of wine when I was there I would probably get beheaded.

MagnegroI came in here expecting something dumb, but this is a pretty great post. Though I hope everything turns out for the better for you, buddy.vulcwait this is actually a really good and well written post

Thanks, i'm studying English Literature and Creative Writing and hoping to become a writer some day while also trying to work a part time job so i'm trying to improve my writing skills. I thought that writing about a personal experience might help and give people some insight.

Right now everything is going pretty well in my life and this event took place over a year ago when I was in a pretty bad state and it really changed my outlook on things.

I am still smoking but i'm trying to get into the whole vape thing so I don't get cancer, but I think playing TF2 again is giving me it anyway.

chalicesounds like you never had that many good reasons to hate brown people. nice story though.

I never hated brown/black people. I really just meant to say that I feared them due to ignorance and perhaps a hated of their religions and culture. What I really hate is the way these cultures and religions treat women and children.

I still despise the religion of Islam and that is mostly due to the current state of certain Islamic governments and their populations persecuting people of my Christian faith on an unprecedented scale. Such as the incident in Pakistan recently where there were riots because the country wouldn't execute a Christian woman. In fact, Christians are the single most persecuted group in the entire planet. Even the Huffingtonpost agrees.

Another reason I despise Islam is that the governments in charge of certain Islamic countries are instilling homophobia, sexism and religious intolerance into their Muslim populations. While in more Christian countries such as Scotland, Norway, Germany, Canada and so on (USA still has a ways to go here). When there has been a separation between church and state, it results in true believers of Christ being able to congregate and uphold his teachings of love and acceptance to all.

In these Islamic countries there is no separation between state and religion. This is yet another reason I still have some concerns with young men in their 20s coming over from Islamic countries as "refugees", especially when there are actual refugees such as vulnerable women and young children who need our refuge. Not to mention the persecuted Christians who could integrate far better into many of our communities and who are just as in need of refuge. I have a neighbor from Syria who has escaped her abusive husband and is living as a refugee and now her daughter can integrate, go to the school we live next to and grow up to be Scottish.

#1 I had an encounter with a black man in Off Topic

When I was struggling to cope with issues that stemmed from things that happened in my childhood that I don't want to get into. I felt a lot of anger and hate towards different groups of people, mainly those whom I perhaps ignorantly felt were likely to sexually abuse our people, such as refugees and/or other ethnic groups (Blacks, Muslims. Hispanics ect).

Hearing reports of refugees raping, molesting and even murdering young women and children in European countries left me feeling more and more anger and even pure hatred towards these peoples. I also felt that this was due to incompetent politicians letting in Millions of young and fit Islamic men as "refugees" rather than letting in actual refugees such as vulnerable women and children who need our protection from their oppressive societies and who are less likely to cope during times of war and famine (This is still true).

Among other foolish posts (often drunk but no excuse) this is what ended up getting me banned for like 4 years (as well as certain mods who are gladly gone now but I won't get into that although certain mods such as Mana have always been very good to me)

One night as I was in a miserable, drunken state. Barely able to walk or talk. A black man who looked as if he had come from some unknown, faraway land had approached me and asked me if I was doing alright. I was so messed up I could barely speak and so he asked me for a cigarette, just one cigarette, and so of course I gave him one without thought or hesitation. He began to notice that I was in a terrible, drunken, miserable state. He asked me if I was okay, and if I needed anything and treated me with kindness, I told him I would be fine and he reminded me that my life here in Scotland is not so bad, and that for him, life here is - beautiful and he is incredibly grateful for the kindness people here show him.

He told me that he was a refugee that came from a land where there is no justice, there is no peace, there is no rest for the weary. That there is no kinship, no brotherhood, no friendship and no love. He said he was so very grateful to live in a land where he could do something so insignificant and infallible as to ask a complete stranger for a cigarette without fear, violence or threat. He told me that from where he came from. He wouldn't want to approach a stranger and ask them for something as insignificant as a cigarette without feeling a sense of anxiety, dread or fear.

This was the first time he had ever asked somebody for a cigarette in his entire life.

#28 favourite/least favourite school subject in Off Topic

I always loved English, History, Art and Music but I ended up leaving school at 14. I hated P.E more than anything.
Now i'm studying Literature at Uni and enjoy it very much though.

wow I will definitely be checking out this game. This is really is the highest level of skill that you can get in TF2. Credu can definitely hold his own against Thaigrr. As for AMS on scout I havent really seen him play scout at all so i'll be watching his POV tonight to see how he does. He is a talented player for sure so im hoping to watch him own. Looks like it will be a great game.

Also yes its been 3 years but they finally unbanned me

I can't believe it either

#60 does being racist make you a bad person? in The Dumpster

I would definitely feel a lot less safe walking around an area dominated by black people in america or around muslim illegal immigrants than I would walking around my 98% white city. It seems only natural looking at the crime statistics.

skeej can you stop getting so worked up over posts on a video game forum. If I really cared so much about people on a pointless video game forum "not giving me slack" i would have stopped posting quite some time ago.
