#6 User script: Sort by frag count in Site Discussion

Then don't use it..?

I wrote this to sort threads like this one. If you don't see the point, just don't install it. That's the whole point of user scripts, they're completely optional.

#3 User script: Sort by frag count in Site Discussion

This allows you to sort individual posts inside of a thread by frag count. I've added a screenshot, sorry if that wasn't clear at first.

#1 User script: Sort by frag count in Site Discussion

Sometimes, threads are better browsed in order of frag count. This user script allows you to do just that. Install with greasemonkey or tampermonkey.

#2 linux advice in Off Topic

There is no magic "boost my FPS" button on windows, and there isn't one on linux either. That being said, if you have the patience and knowhow to set it up, Gentoo might be marginally faster.

#9 TF2 update error in Q/A Help

Dealing with broken file permissions on windows is a pointless endeavor. Delete the file named in the error message (note that it's in downloading as opposed to steamapps/common) then verify your game cache. This should force an update and re-download the file. If you can't delete the file because of its broken permissions, take ownership of it and try again.

Don't run steam as an administrator if you can avoid it. It will likely lead to other permission problems of a similar ilk.

#59 New hack? in TF2 General Discussion

The cat-bots that have been ruining valve pubs (which were based on this hack) as well as nullifiedcat himself have been manually VAC banned.

RipTide-Clicking on streams should directly link to the stream not to a twitch imbed

I wrote a user script for this, but I haven't published it before because I thought I was in the minority for wanting it. I've uploaded it here: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/29698-tf-tv-twitch-linker

#12 Competitive TF2 Twitch Community in TF2 General Discussion
MR_SLIN[edit] also can someone help me with the artwork? We need a 1200x180 background wallpaper and 600x800 box art.

Here is an old gullywash last poster I made that you can use until a real artist makes something better.

Ninja'd, whoops. I'll just leave this here though.

#7 Еrror when launching tf2 in Q/A Help

Make sure there isn't a folder marked as hidden by following this Microsoft support article:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
Then, go back to your custom folder and see if it still appears empty.

While you're in the folder options window, also uncheck the box that hides file extensions for known types. It will make your life much easier.

lethany reason to use this instead of VTFedit

If you're on a mac. In fact, that's why I started making this: http://www.teamfortress.tv/34784/vtf-for-mac

#1 In-browser VTF converter in Projects

Pretty much what it says on the tin. http://tf.heybey.org/vtfconv/
I'm actually working on this thing again, so I figured I'd make a thread for it.

Features:

  • Entirely in-browser, using emscripten - now you can convert your weird hentai without uploading it to my server. (Seriously, WTF?)
  • Generous size limit - it should be able to handle up to 4096x4096 textures. Could potentially handle bigger, but I'd have to mess with the memory allocation settings.
  • Works in any modern browser
  • Can read most common image formats

Planned features

  • JPEG support done
  • Proper GIF support (right now, only the first frame is converted)
  • Expose all options supported by VTFLib
  • (Maybe) image resizer

#20 Any good free games? in Other Games

If you like 2D action/adventure games, Daniel Remar's games are very good, particularly Iji and Hero Core.
