Suggestions for Good Headsets.

JDuffOver the ear cups w/ closed back
Crisp sound quality w/ decent bass
Decent mod mic, but not mandatory to have (snowball has been giving me troubles since its on desk. Still usable)
Price range is pretty wide, but basically anything <175$ USD would be ideal.
ATH-M40x is better than the M50x imo, but there is also a difference between bass quality and quantity. If you want quality go with the M40x if you want quantity go with the M50x. The M50x also are way too sharp on the ears for most people, the highs are ridiculously emphasized.
My personal recommendation would be the VMODA M100 (currently $200ish on amazon, regularly drops to $150ish) which are also compatible with the vmoda boom pro mic. The DT770s (would have to use modmic) are also a good bet, and your onboard sound should be able to push 80ohms.
Edit - The Sony MDR-1A are exactly $175 right now. GET THOSE

HyperX Cloud Headset ($40): I WILL BE USING THIS HEADSET AT THE LAN. It's in pretty good condition, and will come with most if not all of the extra cables and stuff. Since I'll be using it during the LAN you'll have to find me and pick it up on Sunday or before I fly out on Monday

Why The Solemn Vow Must Remain Banned

As an "upper level" medic I strongly strongly disagree with the SV unban as well.
Below is a copy paste from the initial post whitelist meeting thread. Relevant parts underlined.
I don't really mind the Solemn Vow or Pomson, but I do feel like they weren't unneeded as well and were unbanned just for the sake of it (I'm sure we all read the previous thread). PERSONALLY, I think the SV just lowers the *potential* skill ceiling of TF2 in that any medic with arms can now just look around instead of actually keeping track of health economies in fights which typically was something only top level teams did.
Edit - Just found out that the Solemn Vow allows you to see enemy uber %s as well which tips the scale for me. At that point, it does absolutely NOTHING but lowers the gamesense based skill ceiling of the game.
Why keep it banned: it allows low open level medics with arms and a PTT the ability to now match a certain skillset that only top medics could achieve, and even then the top medics couldn't consistently achieve it. It adds ZERO in terms of actual mechanical skill compared to the Uber Saw
The current argument for unbanning it: just cause

Logitech G930 Wireless Headset ($25): Mediocre cosmetic condition, but still 100% functional. Comes with all the dongles and cables. Buy this headset and you'll own just as hard as MrMuffinz.
Razer Goliathus Control Medium Mousepad($15): Less than five hours of usage on it, just not for me. Pick it up whenever you want during the LAN. Tentatively Sold
