maxc232the solemn vow isn't a bad unlock because making tracking easier for new meds is very appealing. also gives meds a more active role in calling. I still think ubersaw would be run a lot.

ADMITTEDLY MY LAZY ASS WASN'T AT THE MEETING BUT HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS
- I wasn't even playing TF2 during the Quick Fix LAN, but it isn't hard to see that the fundamental issues/mechanics with the QF still remain and that stalemates will continue. I think Rando's post summed it up pretty fucking well especially considering he has experience with it.
- It is absolutely mind boggling to me that the Soda Popper was unbanned. I'm sure other HL players will chime in on it, but during its usage in UGC there were a ton of graphs and charts showing that it was almost a straight upgrade over stock, and that wasn't even including the gimmick jump mechanic that you get for just playing the scout class. So you unbanned an (almost) straight upgrade over stock with a gimmick mechanic which is almost all the Atomizer was banned for.
- I don't really mind the Solemn Vow or Pomson, but I do feel like they weren't unneeded as well and were unbanned just for the sake of it (I'm sure we all read the previous thread). PERSONALLY, I think the SV just lowers the *potential* skill ceiling of TF2 in that any medic with arms can now just look around instead of actually keeping track of health economies in fights which typically was something only top level teams did.
Edit - Just found out that the Solemn Vow allows you to see enemy uber %s as well which tips the scale for me. At that point, it does absolutely NOTHING but lowers the gamesense based skill ceiling of the game.

MonkeySuitstabbyPro: Nice cords, comfy shapes, more or less well-built.
Con: Very high button latency, problems like mouse input latency at different DPI's in many models, not the best sensors, no software (though this is a sell, it prevents firmware updates to address the issues each release inevitably has, and limits customization), inferior mouse button switches to Logitech and Razer.
I believe they addressed the button latency issue, and they changed switches when the became benq.
They had omron (razer, logitech, etc) switches for literally one batch, there was a double clicking issue with the shell so they ended up going back to huano switches

- No software
- Pretty good build quality in my experience
- Best/safest shapes (opinion, but with the EC, FK, and ZA there is shape for everyone)
- No extra/useless g4m3r options like LEDs, sniper buttons, removable weights, etc
They're just really really solid in everything and have no extra bullshit

i can't recommend zowie products because I've never owned one
the 502 is a literal brick with a limiting shape, and the g403 is objectively better in every way outside of shape

pelthey im not sure if youve already looked into stuff like this, but it would be cool to have an mge server and/or a dm server running from the lan
maybe possibly having a few pug servers free or letting people pug in the tournament ones when theyre empty
i think its been a thing at past lans where everyone shows up and then ends up pugging on a chicago server anyway so i just thought id ask
i will rent an LA nfo and make you guys pay for the password as an alternative
