overtime i've regretted going for a 8350k instead of a ryzen 5 when i built my pc, even more so with zen2 putting out these numbers in the tf2 benchmark
ofc i'm not gonna buy a brand new motherboard and cpu just to get more fps in tf2 (i def would if i had some left over money) but i'm super impressed with zen2

i ended up getting a viewsonic XG2402
what i was mostly interested in was that it should have as little ghosting as possible and from the research it seems to have a good panel for that and has decent colors
i have never been bothered with tearing, i could've def something like an acer XFA240 which appareantly has g-sync for my nvidia gpu. i heard some freesync monitors work on nvidia gpus but then again i don't really care about it
i was considering on getting a sceptre E255B-1658A because 165hz is a bigger number than 144hz even if ik the difference will be minimal, but i've heard sceptre monitors break easily so i just went for the viewsonic one

i believe u don't need a cpu to update the bios on msi motherboards so that shouldn't be too much of a problem
i'm hoping 3rd gen ryzen is decent for cpu since it seems to be for csgo
also you're gonna need new ram since the one you have rn is ddr3
you can upgrade to 16gb of ram, a newer better ssd, or a good cooler for ur cpu if u want to spend all ur 500$
