ompErenJayhookyOmphud works for me, at least the menu. What exactly is wrong?I just get default hud.Doesn't work for me either. I reckon it's a problem on Valve's end.

It apparently isn't working for Linux users, I'm on Windows and it works fine.

Did you try making a VPK and putting that in the custom folder?

vanilla So does that mean as long as I followed a similar procedure for installing my hitsound as i did with my hud (which works fine), then I won't have to change anything once everything is on steampipe? And my hitsound will just start working then?

yes

vanillaIn other news, does anyone know how to get custom hitsounds to work? I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly according to the readme and that etf2l thread.

They don't work on sv_pure 1/2 servers that are not converted to steampipe. They will work again once all the servers have switched over to steampipe

I have already tried verifying my game cache. WHAT DO?

put your \resource\ inside of another folder (IE \tf\custom\MyHud\resource)

I don't think HRG really has an answer to sheep's sniper though
Same as their answer to everything else. A Tagg bomb.

What is HRG's answer to a Tagg bomb

#4 TF2 Max sensitivity is not sensitive enough in Q/A Help
RawrSpoonIncrease your Windows mouse cursor speed.

Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Mouse, Pointer Options

If you do this you will have to turn raw input off in TF2

Via HLDS:

These changes make the SteamPipe server and client interoperable with the non-SteamPipe server and client. (Any client can connect with any server.) We expect many more clients to opt into the beta after this change. (And remember, we are planning on flipping the switch next Tuesday which forces all clients to convert.)

So if you switch, you can now connect to non-steampipe servers from the new steampipe client. Make sure to back up your maps, configs, huds, etc. when you switch.

I think it'd be pretty fun to watch Plat roam for a season. Unlikely, but it'd be pretty cool

do you really have to backup your maps? Can't you just re-download them?

you could but it's probably easier to back them up. less likelihood of stuff breaking.

+1. Steampipe conversion will wipe all your maps, scripts, configs, huds, etc. so make sure to back them up.'

EDIT: Also, the switch to Steampipe is going to break the SDK, so mapmakers beware.
