I'm not saying there's no benefit in general. I'm saying it's probably not exactly suited to a community mad of 3 main regions, with maybe some 5 top teams each that would likely get donatead reasonable money for competing, who are all on a friend basis with most of the community already. Imo I don't think there are a lot of players who take comp tf2 seirously enough to give money to a team who don't frequent tf.tv or ETFL forums and would notice a fundraising thread there. This might change completely with matchmaking and make the whole thing much more viable.

Bucakeneither are great. but one isn't really any better than the other. both cut cost everywhere they can, and both overprice their products.
personally, i prefer zowie. why? no shit software, no disco lights. simple plug and play.
stuff like build quality, sensor performance etc is the same for both: not great, but not terrible.
Please provide an example of something that's great in your opinion
I don't really see the benefit of this site. If someone wants to support their favorite team or player, they can just send them the money. Everybody has everybody on steam and anyone who's interested in being given money has a paypal link on their stream/youtube/whatever. If someone wants to fundraise a community tournament, all they need to do is make a thread here and/or on ETF2L and the community decides if it's worthwhile/legit. I don't think the process needs to be streamlined in such a small/tight community as comp tf2.

And yes it is true that I have not played tf2 a lot lately, due to the fact that I am a funder of a MedTech startup centered on nanomechanical assessment of breast cancer (nuomedis) where I am working day and night basically.
this begs the question why you're interested in creating a time-consuming service that you say you won't profit from, that's directed towards something you're only marginally involved in.
I'm not saying it's a scam or the idea is bad, I just don't see how it would be all that worth your time for tf2 specifically
Birdyrocksthey probably still run on those settings but you get about 30fps but i'm willing to bet that a lot of people are happy with 30fps even though that seems fucking awful to all of us
On that rig, you might get 30fps on Mr Valve before crashing, if you're lucky
Wow, I find it really cool how you can break the game completely and have portals overlapping themselves without breaking the source engine and making the game crash. That's some good game programming!
what the piss

Depends if it fucks up when alt-tabbing, for me it usually works after being successfully in fullscreen once. So I just have to let tf2 start windowed by default and then change to fullscreen every time I open (and happen to watch something on the second monitor with a renderer that doesn't like tf2).
ScrewballI own both.
Zowie = good mice with shit coatings and heavy clicks
Razer = heavy, gimmicky, and questionable build quality
wtf both zowie's rubber and old glossy coating is the best there is
DamnEasythe301stspartanTry this dirty fix: Open tf2, in windowed mode, open your other windows, tab back into tf2 and set it to fullscreen. I do this when I'm watching movies on my second screen while playing and the renderer doesn't work when I open tf2 in fullscreen.
Thats way too much trouble, thanks for info tho
DamnEasyFailw1zardTry using DisplayFusion. I use it and I have no problem fullscreening on dual monitors.
Works so far
Wtf, all you have to do is change a setting in the tf2 menu twice, that's way quicker than installing a software lol

Musk takes matter into his own hands
Okay, I was gonna look over the whole text, but right now I don't have time for all of it, sorry. But here are the things I noted in the first two paragraphs. These are mostly just grammar and vocabulary things, and not touching on any large-scale or structural issues there might be; since I haven't really read it all yet.
Maybe I'll go over the rest and add impressions here later.
Disclaimer: I'm German, that's about as far from Australia as you can get. So decide for yourself whether you think what I say makes sense.
In general, there are two things that I'm noticing throughout the whole thing. First is, there are a lot of synonyms and "hot air" phrases that I can't see earning you any extra points; see more on that below. Secondly, you're glorifying Musk to a frankly ridiculous extent, and idk if this is your assignment for the essay; if so, fine, but it would be a weird assignment, and if not, you really might wanna consider making this a more balanced and realistic discussion, which would make the whole thing much more worthwhile to read. And I think that would get you points.
AlthoughHowever, a few particular traits and idiosyncrasies are still commonly associated withthesesuch individuals, and are acknowledged by the general public.
These nuances include the ability to lead by example in a way that is beneficial to the majority, to inspire and galvanize people to take action and participate in solvingbesettingprevalentproblemsissues in our modern society, and to possess an enthusing and persuasive self-confidence to which ordinary people can look uptowith reverence.
Note: That full sentence is still extremely bloated and would benefit from a rewrite. Changed "besetting" to "prevalent" because I think that's more like what you're trying to say. Nothing wrong with "problems" btw, just changed to "issues" to avoid the alliteration (prevalent problems). The "to" was doubled with the one earlier in the sentence.
Amongst the myriad of epithets used to describe Elon Musk one would have to rummage with deliberate spite and genuine animus to discover anything that in some shape or form resembles a negative quality.
Besides being factually wrong, this sentence is pure air, comically so. I have never been in such a competition, but I'm pretty sure bloated sentences will be considered a negative. You're supposed to be precise in your use of vocabulary and still produce readable and informative sentences. Don't make your text read like this:

(or if you do, make it even funnier)
His persistent risk-taking and sanguinityperseverance, combined with histhoroughknowledge of physics, buskills and innovative thinking inkingand skills in the field of innovationhave helped him tremendously throughoutdifficulties in both his career and his personal life.
"persistent perseverance" is a double, only masked but not removed by "sanguine" in the middle. If you wanna keep that word, I suggest doing it like this. "Skills in the field of innovation" is air so I'd leave it out. Extra "his" for flow.
Though the outcomes of his actionsmight have been amended by partialmay be partially attributed to fortune, they still remain bold and inspirational to everyone
The sentence is flawed because "bold and inspirational" is supposed to relate to his actions, but grammatically, it relates to the outcomes, which doesn't work as well. Rewrote the luck part because "partial fortune" doesn't sound like it's a thing. But I'd consider rewriting this one.
Also, I hope this doesn't come off as dissing your essay, no intention to do that. I genuinely think if you make it more concise, it'll benefit from it. Also good luck with the competition!
barney_burgerbeansI'm assuming there's really no significant difference, but.... is there? I swear dx95 feels smoother than dx90 or 91 but it might just be a placebo.
Do a benchmark? I wanna know this too

I have tried eliminating and replacing all variables on my end. I have
- Changed, replaced, and switched every ethernet cord from the wall outlet to my machine
- Added and subtracted network switches
- Ran virus, malware, and adware scans
- Reformatted and reinstalled windows
- Tried multiple VPN's that didn't help
- Talked to the owners of private servers to see if they identified an issue, to which they responded that the only interference they were having was from my ISP (school network)

Right now to them you're just looking like a clueless student playing on a shitty gameserver crying that the internet is broken and they must fix it.
Sorry if this is all a bit harsh. My points are:
-Blaming people without proof is never a good idea.
-Just guessing what the problem is and then only trying to fix that even though there's a lot of other options what the problem could be, because "surely this must be problem" is never a good idea.
->Find what's causing the problem first.
Also no. As someone who pays for internet as a product, it's not up to him to search for the reason for the problem at all, it's up to the people who receive the money for the product they provide.
