TF2 WILL die eventually, or at least the competitive scene. All good games eventually die. I think TF2 will be around for a long time, but not forever.

Try getting all the latest updates for windows. I had a different (but equally odd) mouse issue a couple years ago. A windows update fixed it.

Did you try totally uninstalling your mouse drivers and then try using it without drivers?

Try that, or a crappy old mouse that doesn't need drivers (just make sure you uninstall the mouse drivers first) and see if it still does it.

As I mentioned in the i49 thread... Philadelphia is the best location. Well... NYC would be the "best" location as its a huge travel destination and something a lot of people going to the LAN (especially the euros) would love to check out. The problem with NYC is that it's waaaaay too expensive in every possible way. Most importantly, venue rental. It's going to cost a LOT of money to rent a venue in NYC, and that's going to mean higher ticket prices for attendees and that usually means fewer attendees. Hotel, parking, travel (cabs), and food are also way more expensive.

Here are some serious pros for a Philly LAN

- cheaper venue rental (lower ticket costs)
- very close to Philly international
- cheaper hotels, better parking
- lots of TF2 players already in the area (can pickup people from the airport and train/bus stations... Maybe even offer room space at their place)
- close to NYC and DC for people who want to check those places out

Also, fragile and I both know the guy who runs the GXL LANs around here and we have worked with him before. It's been a while since we had a GXL LAN due to scheduling issues, but he has all the stuff on hand we would need (servers, switches, tables, chairs, etc...) as well as some venue connections. Maybe we could talk to him about some sort of partnership for this LAN?

If its an official tournament from intel then it should be in the freeplay area on their provided PCs. You have to use those but you can use your own peripherals.

Philadelphia would be WAAAAAY cheaper. Everything costs more in NYC. Hotels, Parking, Venue costs (the more it costs to rent the venue the more it costs you to get in), Flights to/from. Philly is only around 2 hours away, and everything is cheaper. Make it happen!

Props. As a roamer some maps offer a ton of extra hiding spots to abuse on a certain side.

My march schedule is a little hectic so we are just gonna cruise through the upper bracket so we play as few games as possible ;)
