my first two seasons of invite i was pretty booked, it was also my freshman year in college. i had school from 7-3 and work from 3-9 everynight. I had time in between classes to finish homework at the library, but i'd still make time to play with my team when i got home. keep a balance, if tf2 is taking away from your real life, call it quits.

pine_beetleAgree with smaka. If you're playing invite your goal should be lan. Donations are lame, plan ahead figure it out it's not that difficult.
Umm the main idea of smaka's post was to note how difficult it is to plan ahead. Especially as an invite team fighting two other teams for a 4th place LAN spot. Teams like Mixup and iT should be booking their tickets now but ESEA and high level TF2 is so unstable that it would be dumb to plan ahead. Roster changes, ESEA , and sponsers are all up in the air and just a big question mark.

lower level invite teams should never have lan as a goal. invite to me was just having the opportunity to play against the best players. the goal is to show how you play as a player and teammate. ninjanick, milo, xalox, squid and decimate are only some players in the top teams in invite this season that just took the beatdown of being on a lower invite team and pushed themselves to get on better teams.
if paying 60 bucks each season during that time isn't worth having you improve. then the game isn't for you.
