I disagree. You're honestly telling me that your first season of 6v6 would have been better if you just played open instead??? You would (probably) get rolled every match and wouldn't know where to start when it comes to improving. Honestly, I suggest playing 1 season of ugc 6's to get your feet wet and then play esea. That's what I did and I'm pretty happy I did it. My first iron season let me know if I liked comp tf2 to actually practice and improve (6v6 has a sizable learning curve ya know) and I improved enough to compete at an open level next season.
