I'm sorry :[ I've never used the talent(though I have the coL edition pad[lackluster]) and didn't think $6.25 off was a big deal. Is it good enough that I should replace my aging Goliathus Control?

In case anyone is interested, Puretrak is having a site-wide sale and a few things popped out to me:
PureTrak Valor Optical Gaming Mouse - 21.99
PureTrak Stealth Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad - 9.99
Does anyone have any experience with the Valor? Should I pick one up as a backup mouse?
I have no idea how you would implement this into a map aesthetically(maybe part of a fountain or something?), but a strip of water deep enough to float in with a ramp on either end(like a jump map) as part of an alternate rollout/flank or something would be awesome. You might end up having to make sure it doesn't allow soldier super jumps from anywhere but the ramp area at the end by putting some sort of block above it.
The entire map + gunboats = the greatest part of tf2
You make a fair point. The modmic may not be the perfect solution, but IMO it would be better option than spending $60 do get a decent headset with a noise cancelling mic(this is of course assuming Pling is already using a decent pair of headphones).
What kind of setup are you using right now Pling? Some information on your headphones/headset, mic, mic placement, soundcard, anything else would help us give you more accurate recommendations.
If you're currently using headphones and a desktop mic, try finding a modmic. It'll fit right onto your existing headphones and will pick up much less background noise since it's far less sensitive and closer to your mouth.
Try disabling any game profiles you might have in Logitech Setpoint/Gaming Software/Whatever it's Called Now. Those used to do some funky things back when I had a G500.
Hello everyone, bsc and I are looking for a chill team to play video games with. We'll play any class any level, so long as we can have fun doing it.
Talk to either of us here: http://badges.steamstatus.com/profile/default/steam/76561197986437643.png http://badges.steamstatus.com/profile/default/steam/76561198001254859.png

Personally I think everyone should work at least a year in customer service when they're young. That way, people don't grow up to be giant assholes to people employed in customer service(or just in general).
As others have said, wait and save up enough to buy a new computer(and make sure you consult here first). You'd have to upgrade essentially everything inside your computer for it to be decent.
Just an FYI, if you have a loud keyboard it doesn't matter how good the desktop mic is, it's still going to pick up the keyboard loud and clear if it's closer to the mic than you are. I know you said you don't want to use the Modmic(or a mod similar to what hooli posted), but it really is the best option if you have a loud keyboard(IMO).
Also, people are right about the Zalman mic behaving 100% different if you have a sound card. It honestly sounds really good with my 5 year old Creative X-Fi, and I've heard some people who have the same mic who sound like they're in a fishbowl because they use some awful built in motherboard audio. To add to that, you'll likely enjoy your headphones a lot more if you get a sound card. Do what you want, but I would recommend either the Modmic, or a new sound card, or both. What I do not recommend is using a desktop mic with a loud keyboard because your teammates will not enjoy that one bit.
I just tried running -dxlevel 80 instead of -dxlevel 81 and I don't have flickering textures anymore(with the latest[afaik] nvidia drivers). Can anyone else confirm?
My main problem with the video was the lack of a crosshair. Scout clips look so wrong without a crosshair IMO.
We need a medic because everyone is busy with life and stuff. Scrims usually go down from 9-11ish EST, and the only requirements are a right mouse button and an agreeable personality(no debbie downers allowed). Add me or bsc if you would like to try out.
