I'm pretty sure you don't need to bother with Test Mode anymore since the new method uses a signed driver. It was my understanding that the whole point of running Windows 64 bit in Test Mode was to allow the use of unsigned drivers.
Also I'm unreasonably excited about this, I loved the old driver.

Sometimes when the ads are particularly annoying I'll do a quick refresh and stop. Right click on the ad and click refresh and then, before the new ad loads, right click again and click stop.

While this is true most of the time, blanket statements always have an exception. The hyperx's linked above are direct copies of "real" headphones (closed version, open version) with a mic attached. They're good.

Quake Live got updated for Steam

Alt tab works for me, odd (the game now runs in a borderless window).
If there isn't a setting to run borderless window and you still want to alt tab, press alt + enter to make the game run in windowed mode, then alt + enter again to go back to fullscreen. It's not the most elegant solution but it works.
