there's little effort needed in tossing community items in, they get a good amount of money off of it, and they can say that they directly help the community by giving them a free hot tub filled with cash. no reason for them NOT to do it
my post still holds true
remember when having two demos was allowed, way back when
if you sincerely believe the demoman is "balanced" then you haven't been looking at the same metagame everyone else on the planet is looking at
the demoman is so balanced that you have a single spot in 6s entirely dedicated to him, when even roaming players sometimes get to switch
new fish flavor text:
+25 health
-it is a fish
-why are you expecting a fish to hurt people
-stop that
turn current fish into "vintage fish", rotten texture and all, w/ vintage fish still functioning as usual
hey wait I just realized, were they paying attention to that weapon balancing thread a while back that devolved into pyro discussion? sal DID say he wanted the first post to be a quick overview of weapon problems so some poor old employee didn't have to deal with us yellin' at each other
people are saying that battalion's backup will "finally be useful in 6s" as if it hasn't already been banned for being too good on viaduct
might actually be decent in HL now tho, who knows
Cult Of Unoriginality
(ok I'll go now)

Not many videos of it that I can find, but for anyone lazy (read: me) here's someone scrimming it in 6s
e: jesus christ I just looked at the UGC forum for the first time in forever to see the feedback. all of these complaints are literally just "this map wants me to have team composition and I can't rdm to win, please go away"
please don't make changes based on low-level 6s players, get people on invite or intermediate or even a high-level open team
thought this was a highlander version of badlands
this is probably 100x better than a highlander version of badland, good shit.
only thing I have confidence in arguing is that we shouldn't have RED spawn be like right beside C, even if it was just a really simple change like having the door more to the left (assuming perspective is that third picture), so they still have to walk to it
though then you get into problems with them walking right near an important choke point, so that probably wouldn't work. dangit.
Not_MatlockDOES THIS MEAN THAT THEY WILL FINALLY FIX THE GRENADE LAUNCHER'S VIEWMODELS AND RELOAD ANIMATION?
5 years in the making.
hasn't there been a custom 4-stock grenade launcher model for years now
you'd think they would just be like "hey here have a chunk of money we'll be taking this" by now
star's server is 100x more competent than most pubs though, b/c it tends to mostly consist of pub stompers + some HL/6s dudes here and there because of the dudes running it
can't be as bad as badlands pubs tho
also also, should note
If you'd rather not get spoiled on whether or not there's an update coming soon, you'd better not read the rest of this sentence, and you also might want to skip directly to the last paragraph of this post. Then also don't read it, because SPOILER: This post is allllllll about an upcoming update.
First off: this update is going to have a list of patch notes longer than a stalemate on Hydro. Rather than just dropping all of that in your lap with no explanation, we figured we'd spend a few blog posts taking you through some of the soon-to-be-released update content, so you'd get an idea of the process behind some of the changes and additions we're making. Let’s start with maps.
the way those first two paragraphs are worded implies that the map fixes are just one thing they're touching on
hm. HM

and a buncha other stuff too I s'pose
