he's backing up for me
i didnt really know who yomps was but he's definitely performing well in scrims. alosec's a chill guy even if he'd rather do physics hw or eat chicken than play scrims. extracripsy was nice in a center so i'll go ahead and say he's amazing.
too bad delpo's a pyro main
Shittalk
To be fair i'm bad but mikey shittalked me the whole season :( he hit a lot more shots than me and i definitely fucked up a lot but it's strange that you'd shittalk your own teammate instead of providing advice. he also shittalked a demo ringer on another team even though the ringer had never been on a 6's team before and mained soldier. that was pretty silly. i really am sorry about how i blew up at the end of the season though. i should have ignored the shittalk for 2 more weeks and the season would have ended before you removed me.
fun quote
bobbloblaw His main issues are that he tends to overextend, overvalue damage stats, and like the medic on his back. When we talked to him about it he was very willing to change his playstyle. That being said, that was a few months ago and he could have definitely improved on all of that.
this was around the time his preseason team died i think
he didnt improve on all of that.
ego
mikey would often bring up his 'amazing' stats scrim after scrim and would talk about how well he played even if we lost the scrim and he made important mistakes. i think he let other people's praise get to his head because i didnt think he was arrogant at the start of the season :> if we asked him to change something (we really didnt yell at anyone on the team except for me so idk what the reason was) he would shift the responsibility to someone else and never admit that he was wrong.
overextending
honestly feel this was related to padding stats but maybe he'd play the same way without stats. he didnt really improve on this throughout the season while he had a mentor but i cant really talk about this too much since im still really bad. wanted to point out that he does not know when to get aggressive yet but im sure he'll fix it in the future.
lack of dedication
the first point probably isn't a huge deal, depends on what you think a team should be. Mikey would never join mumble until we found a scrim, the first half of the season he would center till we got a scrim. i'm not sure what he did for the second half of the season while we waited to find scrims though.
However, there were 2 incidents which showed to me at least that mikey didnt care about our team.
First, we had a match on a day we usually scrim on. Since mikey appeared to be online on steam and didnt normally communicate with us till scrim time, we thought that things were going on as usual. At 9:00 I messaged him (he hadn't removed me yet) but got no response. We waited a bit but it became apparent that he was not going to show up. thankfully our demo sub was available and we paid for him to play the match with us. Apparently mikey was not on his computer for 3-4 days (he left his computer on or something because he appeared as online/away for those 3-4 days) and when he got back he asked, "Why didnt anyone tell me there was a match??" In my opinion, you should tell someone on your team that you will be missing scrims even if there isn't a match scheduled and you should pay attention in mumble when people are discussing scheduling. If for some reason you miss it, at least ask someone on the team when the matches are.
The second incident was this monday when he had a HL match, came into mumble afterwards (i was finishing my HL match) saying that he was ready, disconnected from mumble, and never joined back. I'm not sure why he thought we weren't going to scrim, maybe he can explain his thought process in this thread. but this was one of the many reasons for which the whole team agreed to play with our backup for the remainder of playoffs. (London actually put our backups name in the playoffs writeups even before we made this decision)
tl;dr
he was not dedicated and he would often point fingers at his teammates without taking responsibility for his own mistakes and sometimes wouldnt notify his teammates if he was going to be missing scrims/matches. had a pretty big ego by the end of this season but if your team has a good pocket maybe he'll learn to be a bit more modest. overextends a lot but maybe after another season he'll be able to tone it down. he also brings up/cares about stats to a harmful extent and i got the impression he would be happy with losing a scrim as long as his stats were good, but i might be wrong on that.
tl;dr for tl;dr: playing with mikey was really frustrating but maybe he'd be different on another team who knows
gl mikey, hope you find/make a team that you mesh with on a personal/gameplay level next season.
here there be tygers
i was this guy's biggest fan in s15 and he's fun to pug scrim with. would be a great backup
cook invites me to dm servers 24/7 but he's really gotten better from the start of last season, gl
history
esea open s15 7-9 hii open
ugc steel HL s10 2-6
ugc steel HL s13 4-4
cevo open s5 11-5 (1-2) some explosions in sky
esea open s17 10-6 (3-1) some explosion in Skies/hii open heh (ffw to high open!)
first i wanna apologize to my team this season for plateauing really hard for a majority of the season, becoming overly frustrated by the end (mikey :( ) and just being bad. they're chill guys and i hope they do well next season with the remaining part of their roster.
i think i could play pocket at a mid-high open level, depending on how many open teams get moved up i guess i wouldnt be opposed to a low im team taking a chance on me. my main calling is pretty weak but i'll work on it if u need a main caller. I feel like my overall comms improved over the course of last season but you can be the judge of that. i'm working on my dm and i'll be able to get it to be consistent by next season.
I'd also be willing to try roaming, not sure what level i'd be at though since i've never played it on a team.
i'm around a low-mid open scout so idk if i'd really want to play it, i'll tryout for it if u want though
i really want a team that doesnt get upset easily and is willing to work on problems instead of blaming each other. in return i'll work on my mechanics as much as i can, never be toxic in mumble and will try to fix my problems throughout the season
i like playing quake live and csgo even though i'm pretty bad at both (i'm reallllly dumb/toxic in cs). i also rarely play dota but you probably dont want to queue with me, sorry gilburt.
I cant really tryout until we get knocked out of esea but please add me on steam if u think you're interested and we can talk about it: steam profile
my schedule will probably end up being sun-thurs 9-11:15 est but i can go past 11 for matches and finishing up scrims.
might be willing i would like to form a team just message me if u wanna talk about it (ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A MEDIC)
i also love posting on match comms and editing my posts as i get reminded/think of more things
- i definitely had 200 ping and 24 packet loss when the legend of uni videos were made!
- i only have 1 bind and that's a shitty bind too
- i stole hii's alias
- im a steel highlander all star demoman nominee
heavy main. he actually has solid rocket, he has almost no 6's experience outside of playing heavy 24/7 on gpit in ugc steel but he could probably play roamer, maybe pocket for a low-mid open team now and then. He's a really nice guy too, so you'll have a good time if you ring him.
He improved a ton on pocket last season and roster instability definitely hurt him. A good mid-high team with playoffs aspirations should definitely look at him. He may not be the most experienced roamer but I'm sure he will pick up the role quickly since he's really dedicated and puts a lot of time into this game. One of his problems is that he used to get too quiet on pocket when he was the main caller if the mumble atmosphere went sour (not when his team was losing, only if people started pointing fingers/raging/etc). I've never seen him get angry[/b] though and he's fun to talk to. gl
tl;dr he's spent too much time carrying die, give him a good team
ajit's the best and the rest of the team are pretty chill guys. they're going to do well next season, tryout for them
Frootaloou retard you're not supposed to do this when you have an lfp thread up dingus
didnt u expect this after the last time you tried to make a team with him :>
he's grown up from a fetus now!
he was too silent back in steel but i think he's fixed that a bit. he has solid dm to play on a growing low/low-mid open team next season, gl lrd
dingoyou post in every fucking looking thread
i played 2 matches with lrd and i specced a lot of his old team's scrims
Even if a lot of IM teams died (4??) i'm not sure why they cant do a 8 team playoffs and then just move 1-2 teams up to invite like every other season
wasn't meat market #6 before playoffs last season???
they're really good and you should join them if u wanna make playoffs
kuestif is also better than zambler so yeah
and surfs more than anyone else i know
very chill and fun to talk to, gl
