#2 Check out "this is the end" in Off Topic
FzeroI had no choice to do force this so I am sorry. My wife's G/f worked on the project, so I am only trying to help. It's a pretty funny movie, not great, but OK. You still get to listen to Backstreet at the end :P

Is there suppose to be a link?

#153 Introducing TFTV+ in News
atmoI think it would be fun. What's a greater social impetus, the desire to bandwagon or the desire to not be seen on the bandwagon?

Bandwagoning is generally rewarded, and +frags don't always mean you're the bandwagoner, so you just end up with a lot of people with +frags for no reason. There's no good reason to keep a tally, plus it's another useless calculation/entry in the DB.

atmoIf you add a signature or public tracker of +/- frags people are less likely to use it vindictively, I expect. Much like with vBulletin etc.

I think the opposite will happen and people will be more likely to -frag someone in the negative. Terrible idea.

#14 Government Shut down? in Off Topic
Tino_I dont get why its such a big deal? Like the Canadian government and parliament isnt around or doing shit for like 8 months of the year, they are on "recess" like grade school.

Because it's not Congress that's shutting down, it's a lot of side services that aren't "essential". Only found this list because I haven't googled enough, and not sure how accurate it is.

#25 Semi-Competetive Gameplay Server! in TF2 General Discussion

You can edit the name of the game that appears on the server list. It doesn't actually have to modify gameplay (just change a certain server var), and I think that's what he meant.

Rockkkkkkkdamn over 10 million viewers for the finale. thats absurd. Granite State only got 6.5 or something. damn, that's incredible.

Sadly Walking Dead S3 averaged more than that. At least BB ended at its peak.

Mr_OwlIt was after he had gotten the ricin, but Walt knew that Lydia was a threat to Skylar when she told him at her condo that the nazis had broken into the old house and told her not to mention the "lady from the carwash". Either way, he would have known she was a threat that needed to be eliminated.

He learned that after he poisoned Lydia though. Lydia was just a loose end and potential threat he wanted to get rid of, and learning about the threats just make it more justified to him.

#12 now that breaking bad is over... in Off Topic

I like Breaking Bad's premise more than The Wire, but I haven't watched much of it. Maybe it's time to try more episodes.

#160 Breaking bad in Off Topic

I'm with a lot of people, would have been nice to get a bit more reconciliation between Walt and Jesse. Still everything else was amazing, and the idea of all of "it" being it between them just like that was good. Jesse actually fought against Walt's manipulation too (didn't shoot Walt to disobey him). And Jesse got the same nod Walt gave Jack over Jesse.

#151 Why do so many people bash 9v9? in TF2 General Discussion
DarkNecridCookie cutter placements only get you so far...a good Engineer gets creative or recognizes when the situational spots are better than the cookie cutter spots.

Even those situational spots become cookie cutter. The only exception is gunslinger where you randomly throw it around to help, and it takes much less skill to put one down because of how easy it is to afford two and they build fast/heal. There are only so many effective places to put a normal sentry before it becomes cookie cutter.

#6 Looking to buy Windows 7 Home Premium in Hardware

I think it's time you check out another forum or craigslist, considering this is about the 3rd or 4th thread you've made trying to get a Windows OS. This isn't the best place to buy them and seeing as you're still looking now means you probably won't for a long while.

Holy shit can you guys stop full quoting? 3/4ths your post shouldn't be a fucking quote if you're going to talk about a single line somebody else said.

#139 (capnfapn):
Engineer doesn't have the same aim skill ceiling as scout. Scouts move faster, can double jump, etc. Because of Scouts vastly higher movement skill ceiling, the aim skill ceiling is also increased to account for the much greater variation in movement.

Also most of a HL's engy's "skill" is just knowing sentry and teleporter placement. That's very easy to learn and if you really cared you could always watch a few STVs/demos of games and pretty much be up to date (or ask someone else on your team to do it for you). It's something that will definitely be a knowledge advantage for better engies, but it's not a very advanced or ability/skill based thing.
