Development is still very much active: https://github.com/TF2Stadium/Helen/commits/dev (sorry for the shitty commit messages, I'm bad at them)
The closed alpha has been going for more than a week, and we're making significant progress. A good amount of work has been done, and I just added support for chat logs a few days ago. At this stage, most of the development work is centred around testing, to spot and fix any minor bugs.
I should do a development update some day, but eh.

GetawhaleWould we be okay with doing this at the end of Insomnia LAN as well? At the end of ESEA LAN or future LAN events? I don't hate fun, I don't hate Sideshow or anybody involved in the map, I just disagree with the decision to place it at the end of such a fantastic competitive event. .
This Dreamhack exhibition event didn't have much viewership as compared to an Insomnia LAN, so no one would do that there. Even the GXL casts for this year were pretty casual (most of the group stage matches, that is) with even star_ and jerma participating in them. I don't remember that generating a similar response.
