#7 Programming in Off Topic

Learning LISP/Scheme (MIT used to use Scheme in their CS courses before switching to Python) is a great way to familiarize yourself with recursion and recursive data structures. You may want to read Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs, which deals with some really important concepts like modular programming and recursion.

#25 ESEA-O: Week 6 Predictions and Statistics: A bad writer is always late in News

Wrt the math, you should enclose the fraction text in \text{} to get better looking fractions:

\begin{equation}
\frac{\text{True Positives + True Negatives}}{\text{Total number of games}} = \text{foo}
\end{equation}

#148 Ok actually real 5000th thread now in Off Topic

here are some cold hard facts:

sponsors do not magically appear
valve does not care about competitive TF2
european tf2 is at a historic point in its life

circlejerking each other about how a community-run league toucan is going to save video gaming from the evils of capitalism and usher in a golden age of tf2 isn't just naive -- it's downright destructive

#691 ESEA S18 & TF2 in TF2 General Discussion

I dont think 'game is ded' has a future. No pun intended, I think this might be the End of the Line for 'game is ded'. ESEA Open had 60 Teams, kay. 60 Teams. Not players, T-E-E-M-S. And the season is starting in a few days. So ESEA hasnt cancelled their season, ITS HAPPENING.
