#20 ESEA and Europe in TF2 General Discussion

2 lans. 1 in na, 1 in eu. then international lan every 3-4 seasons. only a dream. :(

OdissiusNo Euros are going to want to play in ESEA.

Why would they want to give up OpenPlugin to play in a league with faggytime restrictions.

holy shit do you even play tf2

#8 PUG.NA vs Lobbies in TF2 General Discussion

pug.na is a lot better than lobbies but it will never be the same as playing on a team. get involved with competitive tf2 and join a team even if you think you aren't good enough. it's a completely different game (not literally). persistence is key.

in my experience, pugging for a long time without playing on a team made me develop bad habits and a bad ego (as a player, not a person).

#1 BIG BOYS needs BIG BACKUPS in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hi. My team needs a backup medic and pocket (or one backup who is confident with both). We don't scrim if we are missing more than one starter.

For medic, don't be paranoid as hell. Just trust my calls and everyone will be happy.

The pocket will be taking over my spot (if I am not present) so if there is someone who is willing to familiarize himself or herself with my play style, that'd be awesome. But the most important thing is to "NEVER FEAR ANOTHER PLAYER". Just don't get cocky.

Backups are welcomed to hang out and spectate. In fact, we highly encourage it. You will be considered a teammate and not just a benchwarmer.

Our schedule:
Mon - Thu : 9 EST to 11 or 12 EST.
We only play on sundays if everyone happens to be online and not busy. This day is not mandatory unless we have a match. We always try to schedule matches on tuesday, wednesday or thursday.

#11 tf2 brightness in TF2 General Discussion

http://www.teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/3179/1#post-45102

mess with the alpha and the colors. i like:

}
"gamma"
{
"ControlName"	 "ImagePanel"
"fieldName"	 "VerticalLine"
"xpos"	 "0"
"ypos"	 "0"
"zpos"	 "-50"
"wide"	 "768"
"tall"	 "480"
"visible"	 "1"
"enabled"	 "1"
"fillcolor"	 "200 200 175 25"

}

alpha at 40 is probably too high.

#33 LIST OF USEFUL TF2 TIPS in TF2 General Discussion

I was hoping for less obvious but useful tips. Tips that are cool and make you think "wow, I never thought about that". These are fine too.

#1 LIST OF USEFUL TF2 TIPS in TF2 General Discussion

Hi. I was surfing teamliquid.net and I came across a very educational, interesting, big list of tips. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=214757

I will update this post and make one big list if you guys can contribute! All kinds of tips are welcomed.

In-game
1. You have a higher chance of taking more fall damage if you are crouching. Let go of the crouch key before you land.
2. Scouts have low HP requiring less heals. Consider healing them first so they can quickly get back into the fight.
3. Keep in mind that it takes time for people to get to their teammates after they respawn. Having more players alive does not always mean a player advantage in a fight. (A lot of teams still suffer from this.)
Other
1. Ammomod in mge is very efficient especially if you have limited time to warm up before a scrim/match. There is no strategy involved (1v1s in matches are different from MGE anyway) so you can spend all of your time on raw dming rather than trying to outmaneuver your opponents.
2. Don't rage. You will play worse.
3. Wash your hands with warm water before playing. VinnyTheBoss always washes his hands before matches. Don't forget soap. It'll make your hands feel fresh.
4. Always play in leagues with people you like. Many "all-star" teams fail because of ego problems or bad chemistry. Plus you will have more fun if you play with your friends.
