why would you feel the need to make this type of thread, i'm genuinely curious

let's rewind a sec, you've seen dflame +forward and excel in open, it doesn't tickle your funny bone, and you see that a bunch of people do think that his play is good

do you think "wow all these misguided sheep don't understand how tf2 works i better let them know they're wrong!!" and post this thinking it will actually change someone's subjective sense of good open play?

are you jealous that all these other forum-goers get to revel in the warm glow of respect shared with their peers and you are stuck outside in the cold tundra of doesnt-get-it-ville?

are you a hipster who derives his sense of self-worth from only allowing yourself to enjoy things that most other people don't enjoy, and falsely telling yourself that this logically must mean you are better than most people?

or are you simply a hate-filled cynic who can't stand to see other people enjoying anything?

I'm sure most of us have opinions on most well known TF2 players and posters but people don't spawn a thread just to say that they don't like someone without a specific reason , obviously dflame had rick's jimmies all rustled and the people want to know why. I've never talked to the guy before in my life and for all i know the real reason he did it was that he was bored and trying to start a shitfest thread to amuse himself. However if the negativity was genuine and my guesses happen to make him reconsider being a prick then my work here is done.

there is no downside unless you can't give a real reason to -frag someone other than "i don't like him" or "he is being -fragged so im -fragging him".

i think removing anonymity will convince us to use +/-frags correctly. all it basically means is agree/disagree or good post/bad post, etc. rather than "this guy is my friend/this guy is a faget"

i think i'd be cool if we got a notification like on facebook for +frags. "mustardopenlord +fragged your post!" but that'd probably be a lot of work.

for anyone saying "frags don't matter", why not completely remove +/-frags? but of course you wouldn't want that.

a post with large amounts of +/- frags with +1 total vs a post with 1 +frag and 0 -frags could be like the difference between a controversial post and a post that no one gives a shit about.

i think it'd be nice if we could see how many views a thread has and how many +frag and -frags (both) a post has.

your chances of getting someone to id a song is MUCH higher on a genre-based forum. i got someone to id a 2500-youtube-view dnb track on a dnb forum in less than a day. a lot of forums have sections dedicated to naming songs.
