rocketslaypeople are wrongly convicted all the time. at least if they're put in prison for life there's an opportunity for repayment. if ur dead, ur dead.
the death penalty's also more expensive than life. sounds weird but apparently true
also the death penalty isn't a deterrent to crime
no one here said the death penalty was a deterrent to crime
also if a death row inmate isn't actively seeking a re-trial and has simply accepted his or her fate that they will be executed, then why spend money on keeping them alive for 10-20 years while they await death?
