Yeah, that's intentional. Sucks because I'd prefer to minimise the amount of time spent playing in a server with 23 other pyros.
I don't know how much you know already, but this clockwork video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svCmXhYxMGc) is incredibly useful for new scout players, to the point I'd almost call it essential. What others itt have said is also great but this is so good for learning the basics that I had to share it.
