toads_tfwhat kinds of things might be disconnected? i did take it with me on a trip recently, though not a backpacking one lol. I can't quite remember, but it may have started happening during/after the trip, so that might be it.
maybe something became loose and fell out of it's socket or maybe there's a lot of dust inside, it's worth checking
if you took it on a trip i suggest opening it up and cleaning it and also making sure everything is still properly connected
