doesn't mean the browser might not suck at doing the task at hand
#6 I would remove the tabs if that happened
(Accidentally -fragged your post, wish I could reset it instead of switching to a +frag since I don't really have an opinion on your opinion)
it would be really cool if we don't start a movement on calling people out off-topic for ads not showing up on their screenshots
I like moving the tabs down as well, but I know some people said they liked them being on the top so it would have to be an option or toggle somewhere if it were done

Sorry for posting this here, but I can't figure out a better section.
I made a userscript that does two things: One, it adds a toggle for the left sidebar, and two it adds a link to the "All Threads" page to the Live Streams header (because I really can't find a better place for it).
This is what the page I'm on looks like for me right now:

You need Greasemonkey (or Chrome, apparently).
You can disable some stuff by modifying variables at the top of the script. It's like, super easy.
Things I want to do later:
- Move the left bar stuff to the right bar instead of hiding it
- Collapse individual sidebar elements
I like each change you make more than its older version, but you have to clean up consistency before I can say I really like it, and I'm still unfan of the bright saturated colors.
I haven't been having the m3 problem other people are having, but I'm using firefox aurora, and I'm pretty sure it's a browser difference thing.
Why not just put the top menu bar on the bottom header buffer instead? It's a more normal place, IMHO, and gives the slot a purpose.

noob greasemonkey script at your service (your results may vary)

you have to click the arrow to collapse every time because i didn't figure out how to store the state between page loads
and I don't know whether this will break some style stuff, only tried it on forum pages really
todo:
- move stuff to the right bar instead of hiding it (difficult because the elements don't have unique ids or classes)
- disable on front page because it's not robust for this done
- change more widths when on board/topic view pages

add toggle to reduce left navbar to like 15 px wide or something
forum activity window moves to right side in place of community news instead of mid left when navbar is "closed"
everyone happy
there's ways around sv_pure with gcf editing and making tf2 think it's the same file, but that's a whole other story and usually isn't used for legit stuff like this.
