Drrr_There is no way washington makes to the WS, there is along history of washington teams choking in playoffs and they're not about to end that streak. They look good on paper only because they're in the easiest division in the league.
strasburg scherzer and gonzales are the best pitches in the NL outside of kershaw
harper and rendon are mvp level, murphy zimmerman turner werth are all really good,
and theyre playing the cubs, which outside of rizzo and bryant arent the best offensively, and lackey, arrieta, hendricks, and lester have seriously regressed. they cant pitch quintana every game, not to mention chapmans on the yankees now

Possible playoff situations for the last series of the year
If the rockies lose out, they'll be 86-76. If the cardinals win out, they will play a game 163 to decide who faces Arizona. Because the cardinals and brewers play the last series against each other, in this scenario the best the brewers can finish is 84-78. This is the only way the cardinals can make playoffs
If the rockies go 0-3 to finish the season, they'll be 86-76. If the brewers go 4-0, they will be 87-75, putting them ahead of the rockies, and putting the cardinals down to 83 wins at best. If the brewers go 3-1, a game 163 tiebreaker will happen. Worse than that and they are eliminated.
If the rockies go 1-2, the cardinals will be eliminated, and the brewers will have to finish 4-0 to force a tie breaker
If the rockies go 2-1 or sweep the dodgers, they will clinch the 2nd WC spot
The Red Sox need to finish 2-2, 3-1, or 4-0 to clinch the AL East and the yankees will then have to play the wild card game. If the red sox finish 1-3, and the yankees finish 4-0, then there will be a game 163 to decide who gets the wild card game. same if the red sox finish 0-4, and the yankees finish 3-1
If the yankees finish 4-0 and the red sox finish 0-4, then the red sox are the new wild card team, and the yankees will win the division
