BeelthazusIf you really care about politics, you will do your homework on who is running for congress in your district. If you're actually going to vote, vote for your house representatives, and congressional senators that represent your interests. You might also want to do some research on what referendums are also up on the ticket and what it means if they are approved/disapproved. Your one vote doesn't count for shit in the presidential race honestly, but it dose count when trying to elect the little guys and that's actually where it matters.
TL;DR Get out there in November and make an EDUCATED vote.
90% of incumbent congressmen and 80% of incumbent senators who run are re elected. Theres a huge lack of competitiveness in small elections.
Incumbents have massive advantages like franking privilegees, campaign staff already in place, gerrymandered districts which basically give them safe seats, name recognition and more
so tbh your vote wont count for much in smaller elections either way

EDIT: Seriously, though, this could be our year. Strongest pitching staff we've had in basically forever, we just need to not throw innings away when the bases are loaded.
