Cool guy who would be a great person on your team and good skills as well
pick him up
MR_SLINi like the effort. there's a lot of great things in this hud, but if you're looking for improvement, here are a few things i noticed:
-the font is oddly tall. that's just my opinion though
-i think that the white box in the medic target hud should turn a different color on overheal. perhaps cyan to match the color of the text?
-the position of the health cross is odd as well. have you considered something like oxide hud's placement? http://ben.clnsky.com/tf2hud/
-the advanced spectator hud needs some work...you have to look at two completely different sides of the screen in order to make a comparison between the teams. in addition it's not very appealing to the eye
overall it's a good attempt at a hud but it's not as minimalistic as i would personally hope. there's still plenty of stuff that could be cut out or made smaller. the colors are very loud and seem to speak more to functionality than to visual appeal. reminds me of gmang hud.
8/10
Thanks for replying! When I was making the spectator hud I was trying to make it with the concept of doing a quick glance and getting immediate information, so I made the class icons and the health numbers big and noticeable while stuff like the names were disregarded, early on when I made this I also had the idea to show both the health cross and the numeral value so that you can get the number or a rough approximation of the health from looking at the cross.
I could put the number on top of the health bar to make it narrower, would that be a good idea?
Update released

I had an idea to move it above the crosshair and make it smaller but I decided to go with this
grapeThe way around that is to use a font that makes all of the letters/numbers blocks, and then make that a second respawn timer value so it covers up the skull while it shows their respawn time. I believe omp hud does that, so you could get the font from there.
Thanks, just fixed it http://puu.sh/2I9GH.png
GeknaiirI enjoy this hud except for the spectator death icon. The skull just looks too stretched out. But other than that, it looks really nice.
The way I made the health is that I used the vertical part of the cross so that it actually shows proper health and I used the bg to overlap the right side of the cross sticking out, the problem is that it disappears after death so it just shows a stretched skull.
randomirishladlooks more like its based on gmang/deli rather than broesel but still looks nice.
I did get ideas from other huds but I started this as a mod of broselhud for my own use, I got the font from Doodlehud and I got some placement ideas from omphud, evehud and flame.
CruzI'll never understand why people make their ammo counters different colours. Looks alright otherwise, although you may want to change the font used in the main menu to match the one in-game, because it looks kind of tacky as is. Also clean up hudlayout.res, that things a mess, and you also don't reference any fonts for the hud crosshairs so it's just displaying the letters in default.
Crosshairs are still in development, and hudlayout.res was way back when I didn't know what I was doing with it. This hud was directly made from broselhud files which is why the crosshairs and stuff are still in there.
Thanks for the comments!
Hi I'm presenting this new hud for tf2 created by me. This hud was based off broselhud and tries to achieve clean and quick information while still looking somewhat nice (unfortunately i cant stand the font broselhud uses)
You can find the website for the hud here https://code.google.com/p/washyhud-beta/

This hud is still in development stages and I would greatly appreciate feedback and criticism.
