#7 Can't see .ss or .logs ingame in Q/A Help

double and triple check disablehtmlmotd.

open internet explorer and go to a webpage so it connects to the internet
(this actually has a good chance of working because TF2 uses IE to look at pages like this, and it can be blocked/non-functional if you haven't used it ever/in a long time)

make sure u don't have a security script/file which blocks it
EXAMPLE: "Create an empty file in your tf directory named textwindow_temp.html and make it read-only (this prevents the motd from being saved & loaded)"

if none of that works it could be something else related to firewall or your browser settings (most likely Internet Explorer) like maybe cookies

edit: DO NOT create a textwindow lmao. that was an example of how your motd could be blocked!!

#10 Unplayable lag on wifi in Q/A Help

I just meant the box thing where you can patch into all the cat3/5 in your house, you could run the cable to that and then you can put internet through any phone jack in your house. thats how mine is setup. its not actually called a splitter but I have no idea what to call it

#7 Zowie TF Won't Stick in Hardware

the base is kind of annoying. what phunk said works on g-tf. moisten + pressure.
mine sticks well enough dry by applying pressure for like 3 seconds, but its cause I have a metal desk I think.
with moisture it becomes one with my desk.

#16 August's top 10 streamers and YouTubers in TF2 General Discussion
CrayonNippleI love how NISLT still ranks 3rd for august, yet his videos are so easy to make, and such click bait. (frag clips are pretty nice though)

u just figured out the secret to youtube

#10 Mouse feet wearing out quickly in Hardware

you can't mod an fk1 like that.
you can always buy replacement feet (goes for fk14 too) but thicker than stock ones are not an option on the fk1 cause it won't track anything.

#3 Router issues in Q/A Help

well its either your router, modem, or ISP.

so what you do is
1. unplug router, and test internet with direct ethernet cable. I hope you're not on wireless (if it doesn't fix it go step 2)
2. get a new modem, usually this means calling your isp and get them to replace it.. (if it doesn't work step 3 etc)
3. get a new isp (I would put my money on this one)

#7 Mouse feet wearing out quickly in Hardware

since its the fk14 id recommend doing lens mod and adding thick mouse feet (like puretrak HD intellimouse feet). its a real fix.

its opening the mouse, taking out the lens, prying off the custom piece and putting the lens back.

#4 Mouse feet wearing out quickly in Hardware

the fk1 is the worst mouse for this, because the clearance between the mousefeet and the bottom of the mouse is almost nothing. and you can't put thicker mousefeet on because of the extremely low lod. (if you have an original FK you can lens mod and put thick mousefeet on)

the qck does have high friction and can wear out and develop sticky spots so potentially get a lower friction pad (make sure its black/dark for fk1 or the lod will be even less)

#6 Gaming mouse and keyboard? in Off Topic

wmo 1.1a - $10 to $25
zalman clip-on $10
qck heavy - $20 to $25

membrane keyboard - free to $10
earbuds - free to $10
crt monitor - free + gas

the cheapest mech keyboard is probably going to run you at least $60.
gaming keyboards with membrane are a total waste of money. an office keyboard is the same performance and it's way cooler when you wreck people on a $10 microsoft keyboard, a wmo, a monitor from the 90s, and some earbuds from ur ipod/phone than some tryhard shitty gamer gear.

its actually a top tier setup
