engineer isnt a combat class, a non-combat class shouldnt have such an easy to use and foolproof method to beat combat classes in direct combat

This is exactly the 'muh power classes' mentality that I was talking about. Shouldn't be able to beat a combat class? What law of the universe dictates that. Did it occur to you while you were searching for an obnoxious reaction image that maybe the purpose of this update is to buff the engineer's effectiveness in combat? Did it occur to you that the labels 'combat' and 'support' were invented to describe a classes then-current effectiveness in combat, and should not be used dogmatically to enforce these distinctions well after the fact?

the engineer should be at a disadvantage in direct combat as part of the tradeoff for his utility (building things)

you should be able to beat combat classes with him provided you're better/good enough to overcome the disadvantage, but obnoxious unlocks that replace 'combat combat classes by being better in combat' with 'use this piece of shit' are an awful idea

does anyone remember the other large balancing update where they tweaked the sandvich, gru, crossbow etc and it was pretty good? this reminds me of that except all the weapon changes are abysmal

i try to enjoy the pub side of this game but it seems to get more difficult every update

SoapNot even main occupation. I havent seen anyone make any money in this game. Sure, some guys might win a division or even Invite. But what does that really net them after league fees and time spent?

"tf_damage_disablespread 1" Damage being consistent instead of random (a no scope will be 50 all of the time not 48-52)

These are the commands that I prefer.

Is this an EU server? if so someone should host an NA server with the same idea!

fixed weaponspreads are on, crits and damagespread is on for now just so the server's quickplay eligible but i'll turn them off once there's a decent playerbase

hello, i've started a euro (germany) no-gunslinger pub server at wpminnows.game.nfoservers.com:27015

wondering what do you guys like in a pub server - right now the only mods are touch-return on ctf and no gunslinger/wrangler, probably gonna change it to nocrits or at least critvote when/if it gets off the ground

(also if anyone knows how to stop tNoUnlocksPls resetting the blocked unlocks every reset, please tell me)
