Any other features for the monitor? 1 ms response time is a lie btw, ignore what it says on the box, only trust reviews.

Resolution/size/features for the monitor?
ARK/Dota would be GPU limited and PUBG doesn't runs like shit anyway so he could away with an i3, now that they got 4 cores. i7 would definitely overkill, I'd just wait and see how it works out with the budget, but probably an i5.
Overclocking yes/no?
Definitely a gaming monitor - 144hz and 1ms response and 27"+
1920 x 1080 at a minimum.

Hey dudes, my bro is looking to build a pc, budget is like ~$2.5k AUD.
Doesn't do editing or anything of that sort, just wants a beast ass PC to run like dota/ARK/pubg etc
- Pre sure he's already set on a benQ XL2720 monitor, open to suggestions though (not included in 2.5k budget)
- For the new intel CPU's, its about a month until he gets home so can wait for benchmarks etc. Is it worth getting just an i5?
