most of the people I know who play this game competitively are wonderful people in real life, I can't actually think of many who I would completely avoid if I knew them IRL besides a very select few (and that's because they're just malevolent). And those people don't make it far. Autism is being different and not understanding any other way to exist without their quirks -- are you telling me you would go meet a fancy chick somewhere and the only thing that comes to mind when you say hello is to ask her what her preferred soldier playstyle on badlands is?

My point wasn't that people should fortify their personal lives in preparation for a witch hunt, it was that gamers who use autism as a legitimate put-down should be aware of their hypocrisy.

I agree with you, I don't deny my 1300 hours in a video game are about 1250 more than normal.
I do disagree with gamers who use autism as an insult or talk about it as if it is completely foreign to them. Every time you call something "fucking autistic" you're really just dissing yourself, and if you don't believe me, ask yourself if you're talking about something in a video game.
