I don't think this is hud related cause it doesn't matter what hud I use it's always present. You can see on medic it will show I have 1 arrow loaded but not the total arrows in stock, same with soldier; 4 in the clip but not the 20 in total. On scout with the scattergun it appears normal but with the pistol it's broken.

I have only encountered this issue with custom crosshairs, in my experience downloading other peoples folders then trying to change the crosshairs themselves causes this 99% of the time the only way I've gotten around it is rolling back to previous crosshair folders I've used that did work

To add on what raven said, it has to do with missing lines related to ammo in your crosshair script files. It's either clip_size or default_clip I don't remember which
