and the academy award for best performance goes to mackey, 9/10 well done no doubt, worth the 5 bucks but wish it showed the skill of the players more (more in game big dick plays).

Thanks for all the hard work and great job repping NA by LG and Mix^

Really cool video...

Who did the movie preview guy voice? Again, Amazing work on creating this video, but I still say there was too much production value put into something that is going to be seen less than 5000 times. Not worth the effort that went into the video IMO. -frag me now.

I feel like I personally know the guy who did the voice over, his voice is so familiar. I was too lazy to watch the credits to find out though.

maybe minus fragging your post would have required some thought if the doc wasn't easily going to be seen more than 5000 times

the actual number of views is trivial, it was, IMO, too much work/wait for too little.

That was rather underwhelming. I dunno, felt like you missed most of the really epic or really tense moments. I remember the i46 and it made me cry and yell and be like a happy little boy at the toy store. Disagree with me all you want, but that is what I remember.

Just of the top of my head, clockwork's entire snakewater run (LG vs mix^); gullywash 1-0 game that was crazy tense and back and forth (LG vs mix^); TCM upsetting infused (i think) and then the finals. I mean, we didnt even get harbleu's suicide on gully trying to kill shade.

Great job all around, especially with the voiceover talent. Sounded professional. Adding the explanation of 6v6 was also a good touch.

...although I totally see how it is, leaving out cyzer's nationality for the sake of the title, heh.

We're already on 9000 on YouTube and it's still having a hard time counting. Check back in a few days! :)

I think the complaint is that it took too long, thus 'was done too well.'

for the record i disagree.

Yeah but I don't usually download at that speed anywhere except steam and torrent and some other sites.
And VHX apparently.

I kinda wish there was a teamfortress.tv text shoutout in it, to be honest. A lot of people will see Comp TF2 for the first time from this (thanks in part to things like day9s tweet) but without a tf.tv link they don't have anywhere to really go with it.

If you google comp tf2, teamfortress.tv is the second result(at least for me). If people want to find info about it, they will. Although I guess it could help a little bit if there was a shoutout in the video/description.

while i liked the voice over, when he started using terminology like lag and ping and other stuff it made me cringe a bit. I realize there arent that many other ways to explain what those are, but it still just made me... hurt.

Um, it was really good, freaking loved it.

Sadly, so much NA content...
It felt like it was more of a 'TF2 NA documentary', hardly any EU stuff.
Yes, NA destroyed drunken euros at lan, but still would have been nice to see more EU footage.

I wish it was 10 hours, damn thing was so interesting, felt like 5 minutes.

Will I get -frag'd to death now for speaking my opinion, lets see!

Okay let me be very frank and very clear in this before I go into explaining it. This "documentary" was actually... kinda awful.

Let me explain what I mean. First off lets look at other documentaries. A good example to me that comes to mind is FRAG: The movie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBncjnPP-ts which is still in my mind one of the greatest showings of esports documentaries to date (may be beaten by Free To Play once Valve releases it to the public) even though it focused mainly on the old Quake era. It shows this substance. Let's take into account what a documentary showcases. It showcases the event in question, and the timeline around it. Documentaries are telling you a story. This particular film does not tell you a factual story. It doesn't tell you anything related to the event really other then a select few players. And sure, you can tell a story through the players, however this was not accomplished at all either. You sat down the players and asked them generic questions and had small discussions. You didn't really touch on their gaming lives or experiences that got them up to that point. Their struggles, hardships, commitments, sacrifices to get to the i46 LAN, or to play TF2 on a professional level. That's how you tell a story through the players. Why are they there? What drives them? There was this casual atmosphere around the players that just struck me as odd because it seems to bleak for a "documentary". I also became confused on what this film is supposed to tell anyway. Are we talking about the players or the event? Or both? There was no real direction or subject to the film.

Sorry. I didn't like it especially since it was a year in the making and had so much "hype" behind it. Was expecting more. Was disappointed.
