My mom told me I was lactose intolerant and only let me have rice milk until I was a strong, independent 9th grader who could make his own beverage choices.

Turns out I'm not lactose intolerant. Thanks mom.

pharaoh__Milk is a big scam. Milk in general doesn't have much of a health benefit unless you're a cow. There's little to no solid evidence that milk is beneficial for bones, or your health in any way. It's regarded as the healthy option for schools, yet it generally has more sugar and is higher in fat than coke.

"...and that is why I believe in intelligent design."

Almond milk is dabes! Soy products absolutely destroy my already dying thyroid, but I'll settle for a glass of 2% if there's no almond milk in the fridge.

I don't like milk that much sorry team, I have to get mochas as doubles because the mostly milk flavor of a regular one disgusts me

I love basically all other dairy products though it's weird

So in Denmark we have this thing called Mini Mælk (Mini Milk). It's basically 0,5% fat milk and it's the shit. All of the others just taste to fat in my opinion.

If I get milk I drink the one from a local farmer
Fuck that industrialised milk
Btw you should worry about sugar a lot more than fat

I've had fermented dog's milk (bitch milk).

I'll stick to drinking milk from other alien animals however - cow is better than goat's. Never had the nut based milks. The kiddo likes his milk, but it's mostly served in schools because dairies need somewhere to send their surplus to keep the price artificially high (since virtually all agriculture in the US is subsidized in this way - the government buys the surplus, and either gives it to prisons, schools, food stamp users, or military personnel, and/or stores it in a warehouse to rot).

Milk is good for what it is, a decent source of protein carbs and fats.

It's also generally high in caloric content though which depending on your goals should determine if you want to drink milk or not.

even though what pharaoh said isn't quite right, the myth that milk is like vital to a healthy life is very untrue

I buy 2% but my roommates buy skim and i'll happily cook with either of them.

If I'm drinking a glass of milk it's gotta be 2% tho

My parents forced me to drink skim my entire life. I'm now 21 and still only ~130 pounds.

Off topic, but I work at a health foods store, and let me tell you, cleaning an exploded case of chocolate almond milk off the floor is not fun in any way, shape, or form. And yes, I cried over it
