So I'm going to TI4 with a friend and we got a hotel room for July 17-22 but I fucked up with my plane ticket and I'm going to Seattle from July 16-23. I was wondering if anyone could give me a place to crash on the 16th and the 22nd. I can pay if needed. Add me for more info if needed.

And often even if you can change it, it is extortionately expensive. I almost had to change my GXL flight, and the cost of changing it was $350. The ticket itself was $250 (Delta).

I once booked an international flight online and messed the departure date up. 30 mins after ordering the ticket and noticing my mistake, I called customer service. I was naive to believe the service rep when she told me multiple times that I would not be charged more than two separate charges ranging from fifty cents to a dollar as a fee for switching my flight dates. I even had her repeat what she said to me, perhaps to reaffirm my faith in the airline industry. Sure enough, there were two separate charges on my credit card bill that reflected what she told me. I remember feeling pretty pleased with that service.

Naive fuck I was. Once I got to the airport and got to the American Airlines desk to check my luggage, I was told I was subject to a $150 fee before I could even get on the plane. My jaw fucking dropped. I can't remember what they even called the fee. I whipped out my cc and paid the damn thing so I wouldn't miss my flight, but fuck if I will ever fly on American Airlines again. I'm sure they get away with that bullshit all the time.

Be aware of this if you do call their customer service. Oh, and enjoy TI4. That looks like a blast.
