in the market for a monitor

I know there are threads already for monitors, but they have a billion posts and haven't been bumped for a good amount of time.

Currently, I have an Acer GD235HZ, which fucking blows btw. So much input lag.

I have looked at some benq/asus monitors both 120/144hz and some reviews. I figure that you guys, maybe having owned some of monitors, could help me with a selection.

I get a lot of recommendations for the benq, but really I just want a good 120/144hz with godly response time and as little input lag as possible for a good price. I can care less for all these extra perks like motion blur reduction, low blue light, flicker free, display pivots, equalizers, and especially 3d. I will never play 3d. 3d movies alone already fuck my eyes.

With benq offering so many features it leads me to believe there may be other monitors as good for less money but say minus the ability to rotate it to portrait mode or some other useless perk.

I am asking here mainly because for my Acer GD235HZ, the response time was advertised as 2ms, so I overlooked input lag at the time. For the benq, I saw tests that showed that the response time is 1.5ms instead of the 1ms advertised. Not a big deal of course in this case, I just want a monitor that isn't gunna give me the crazy amounts of input lag that the GD235HZ does.

I do also live in BC, Canada, so try to keep your suggested monitors available to me.

I TRUST YOU GUYS

I own and I know several others who own the ASUS VG248QE 144Hz monitor. It's fantastic.

Hellbentbut say minus the ability to rotate it to portrait mode or some other useless perk

I don't think you'll find many 120/144Hz monitors with minimal input lag that don't swivel, 3d etc. They're all for the most part high end monitors.

Yeah, fuck that Acer one. I don't even see how they can say it's only 2ms input lag.

I just bought a BenQ XL2411T and it'll arrive in two days. I'll tell you how it goes if you haven't bought it by then

I remember reading somewhere that the Acer has around ~73ms input lag which is fucking nuts but iunno if it was true. Not many reviews on this stuff.
