Added team status panels
-> For your team, shows class information, health, and respawn status
-> For the enemy team, shows alive or dead status
Match abandon system improvements (competitive-specific)
-> Low priority players are now matched into games more quickly than before, however they will only be allowed to play against other players that are also in the low-priority system.
-> When players abandon official matches, the matchmaking system will now adjust their penalty time and/or method based on their history of abandoning.
-> If too many games are abandoned, the player will be banned from official matchmaking (e.g. Competitive and Mann-Vs-Machine) for a period of time.
-> For players that have a history of abandoning games, normal behavior (i.e. playing games to completion) reduces the severity of future abandon penalties.
-> When clicking the "Start Search" button, players and parties with low-priority status or bans are now shown the expiration date and time of the penalty (in the case of parties, the largest penalty).
Player stats and medals will now display for players that disconnect after the game is over.
Fixed a case where the server would sometimes incorrectly print that a player had abandoned the game - usually after the game was successfully completed.

You know, this is one of the downsides of them (I assume) only getting direct input from a ridiculous small pool of players from 1 scene rather than including all scenes in the discussion, Europe has been using timelimit for as long as I can remember and it has worked out quite well for us I would say.

There has been plenty discussion before on this matter (ex 1, ex 2) with arguably the eu ruleset coming on top in terms of popularity both from a viewer and player perspective, not even mentioning the fact that the entire rest of the world uses the EU ruleset or a variant of it (I think Ozfortress actually introduced halftimes recently) but still, 4/5 scenes use or used the EU ruleset or a variant of it.

It has not been proved to create any feeling of toxicity or helplesness superior to the NA ruleset, otherwise I don't see any reason why the majority of the scenes in the rest of the world would stick to it. Is this the imperial system all over again?

if youre stuck in a bo3 match and its completely one sided you can potentially lose in 2-3 minutes.

A close bo3 match could take upwards of 30 minutes if the teams were even and/or trying their hardest to hold last.

I mean I could argue with you but I don't really care either way, I personally don't think the bo3 system is 'worse' than a best of 20 minute system.

win quick, lose quick, play another game.

Timelimits are great, they let you know the max time something should take and you can plan around it. Also having a timelimit allows you to have a higher amount of rounds instead of first to 2. Cause first to 5 with no timelimit sounds horrible.
