Our team just played a match on granary lasting 1:26:15 long going to golden cap and I was curious what's the longest ever 6's match.
I know there was a ashville game a couple of seasons ago that lasted like 2.5 or 3 hours
Edit: ashville not metal

Dreamboatcp_ashville or w/e with mangachu.
Correct answer for a single map
For a single match, record is definitely ESEA S15 grand finals as far as I know

I think they paused forever and the server passed the 2(?) hour time limit and then restarted itself.

Casting s15 lan. The lan that made me quit casting.
Literal proof for the thesis eu ruleset > na ruleset
yes i love how you could go up 2 rounds in 30 minutes and then turtle for 10 to win a map in eu
sildeezyQuickfix was s14, wasn't it?
Yes, S15 was the flocked by a seagull lan.

I played like four hours straight or something of tf2 in a bo3 in playoffs last season
and then Time Warner owned our demo rip

saamyes i love how you could go up 2 rounds in 30 minutes and then turtle for 10 to win a map in eu
except that would equal 40 minutes, and eu ruleset claims only 30 minutes per map

People who go up rounds early and try to run down the clock generally fuck up because they give the other team so many opportunities to push if they never push themselves. Playing conservatively but normally, pushing when you have enough picks is still way more effective.

Does anyone actually thinks having 5 hours long grand final (that didn't even go to 5th map) is ok?

EU has a better config for matches & pugs but holy fuck it's the worse thing ever for scrimming
NurseyEU has a better config for matches & pugs but holy fuck it's the worse thing ever for scrimming
How can it be good for matches and bad for scrims at the same time?

longest etf2l map I know of:
http://etf2l.org/matches/52830/
over 55 minutes.
etf2l staff decided that golden caps will have a timelimit of 10 but the team that held mid at the end of the 10 minutes didn't win the GC instead it would reset and there would be another golden cap. Seagulls decided not to push in the first GC round because they were sure they would win if they hold mid at the end of the 10 minutes, which wasn't the case, same happened for 2nd GC and they won the 3rd.
atleast the rules have been changed since.
