Windows 10 update issue

last night i updated windows 10 and since then my headphones stopped working on my laptop.

basically speakers work fine but when i plug my headphones in the speakers stop playing and headphones play nothing. it seems like my laptop recognizes a device is plugged in since realtek pops up but my headphones dont show up in playback devices.

ive tried updating drivers, restarting and im fairly sure its not a hardware issue so idk what else to do. if anyone could help out that would be great
