browsing newegg and saw this was super cheap, no idea if it's any good but it has actual cherry mx blacks so i imagine it can't be that bad, and at that price it can't be beat really so if you're looking for a mech keyboard on the cheap i guess look into this

I owned a RK9000 original and it was honestly a great board for its price. This is 100% a STEAL, but if I didnt already spend too much on keyboards I would definitely pick this up for 25$ even as a backup board. Anybody on the edge of wanting to switch to a mechanical should pick this up in what they think their preferred switch type would be ASAP.

I've played some TF2 and I've done a bit of typing on it. The RK-9000-V2 is the first mechanical keyboard I've ever owned. It feels pretty good. The Cherry MX Black switches are somewhat stiffer than the keys on the Apple Keyboard A1048 that I was using before. One thing I didn't expect is that the keys make a small twang sound when released. Is this normal for Cherry switches? The keyboard itself seems pretty robust. It doesn't creak when I move it on my desk, and the keys don't rattle when I rest my fingers on them. One thing I don't quite like about the Cherry MX Black switches is how heavy the shift key is. It's a little bit heavy for my pinkie finger for some reason. Other than that, the num-, caps-, and scroll- lock lights are extremely bright if you look directly into them. They're fine from a normal typing position.
So, I'd say it's worth $30 as a keyboard, as long as I remember to do the rebate.

Wowie $30 for a full size genuine Cherry Switch board is insanely good. There are decent boards around this place on aliexpress but they use (decent) Chinese knockoffs. If I had to guess why this board is so cheap it'd be because it doesn't have an autistic gamer aesthetic and no one wants it.

Yeah MX Blacks have a 60g actuation force whereas most Cherry switches are 45-50g, which is also normal for most membrane boards.

This is completely normal for Cherry switches (unfortunately) due to how mechanical keyswitches work. As far as I know there are a few mods you can do to fix it if you care that much, but its definitely not a defect or anything.
