By the basic economic principle of Supply and Demand, I would harm my own self interest by reproducing my Pepe collection.

Definition of supply and demand
the amount of goods and services that are available for people to buy compared to the amount of goods and services that people want to buy
If less of a product than the public wants is produced, the law of supply and demand says that more can be charged for the product.
Supply and demand is one of the most fundamental concepts of economics. The relationship between supply and demand underlies the forces behind the allocation of resources. In this instance, the goods, resources, or services that people want are Pictures of Pepe (POP). I hold a good percentage of the supply, though I have competitors such as Zilly.
Now that the current situation and the basics of Supply and Demand have been explained, lets look at what happens if I released my collection into the wilderness of POP economy:
1. The Release
Within seconds of posting a link to download POP, hundreds of people have downloaded, and therefore reproduced, my collection. This creates more supply, eventually drowning out any previous demand.
2. The Result
The value of my posts collapses, I become no different than a man who left to head West days before the word spread of a Gold Rush. I become a historical example of what not to do when you have a majority of a good, service, or resource on lockdown.
3. The Conclusion
The classic drip-drip scenario. I release only enough POP to satisfy your cravings, to prevent you from becoming angry. But I do not release any substantial amount as that drives down the POP economy and most likely causes a collapse.
I collect POP faster than I release it, continuing to grow my stake in the POP economy.
Knowing how to accurately predict the law of supply and demand should have you maximizing your profit potential at all times.
