also everytime i rocket jump or hurt myself with a rocket i get a comment in console along with a shit load of jitter and stutter saying : Model '(null)' doesn't have attachment 'backblast' to attach particle system 'rocketbackblast' to.

I have the same problem. It seems to only happen on certain custom huds, like Hudas Isacro and Deli's central Hud. However on KBN Hud, the problem doesn't occur. Change huds and test for a temporary fix, but I don't know how to completely cure this.

KBN Hud was just an example of one of the huds that do work. Try messing with different huds that work.

This is weird. Try deleting your current resources and scripts, and replace them with YaHud. Make sure you are outside of tf2 when you do this.

i tried dude i think it was something with steam cloud i don't think i could have fixed it anyways. turns out i'm not gonna reinstall it in time so i'm gonna get a ringer/sub.

i did the same ^ but it didn't fix it and on top of that it gave me weird particle errors which made my game stutter when someone rocket jumped.

On a whim, I did this in the vain hope of it restoring my game to a playable state. It worked perfectly, multiple TF2 loadups into local and MP servers and there are no more problems with models and slow play.
