Searching for one, because I miss surfing and don't know of any good servers.

If you have any server suggestions, or surf plugin suggestions, please lemme know.

Only tangentially related, but are the new surf configs/timer publicly available? I still don't have the Internet at home and may not for another month or so, and I like surfing offline, but the old surfit plugin doesn't have a timer for a lot of the newer maps.

Not really, but you might have better luck asking over in the forums at http://resurfed.site.nfoservers.com/forums/ and maybe tord/malt will like you.

As for surf configs, the only thing that needs to be set is sm_cvar sv_airaccelerate 150, which if that isn't obvious enough can only be set with sourcemod. So unless you want to set up sm on a local server, the only way that you can change that value is to join a server that has set that value already. I.e. join a surf server then you can locally start up a surf map that you really want to be playing. Also, some surf maps require bhop, which you can't do locally no matter what without installing separate plugins.

When surfit shut down they released the bhop/skeys/timer plugins as well as the configs and top times. I just installed metamod, sourcemod, and the released plugins to my local addons folder and created a listenserver.cfg, and if I run tf2 in insecure mode it all works fine. Then if I want to do newbots or something I just remove -insecure from my launch options and tf2 won't load any of those plugins. None of that stuff about joining a surf server is really necessary.
