Awesome to see more community sites getting more involved with the comp scene.

There could be an NA one, but I got there first! No reason why, if this model is successful there can't be one in the future.
Also I assure you people who alias is one of our greatest concerns, we will not allow the tournament to be ruined by those who attempt to. Harsh punishments will be inflicted.
How does this "buddy" system work? does it go through TF2c or do you have to do it yourself? I'd love to coach some newer players
This could be big for the EU scene, getting new people to comp, and them having smart people help them. More people with guidance is never a bad thing.

Competitive players express their desire to buddy a team, they can either make a team with their newbie friends, or find a team of newbies and join. We are prioritizing buddies based on their merits before matching them to a team.
We will post more information about this at a future date.
a lot of EU cups but might as well just say its good for the scene
If anybody needs a roamer, I have quite a bit of experience. If you need me, just add me :)
if theres a swedish person that wants to be my buddy i would love to join :)
god jul och gott nytt år!

We'll if you have any experience, I think you can't play
Unless you are coaching a team. I got a bunch of old pub buddies that I could never convince to play comp, maybe this will do the trick
i feel like telling people who have no idea how to play 6s to play 6s for thousands of dollars might not be the most well thought out idea though
i have a lot of confidence in the team to pull it off and make it fun and helpful, but i am a little nervous about how this might turn out

Check the ETF2L thread, last post on it per example:
$2000 disguise your playstyle well enough to fool admins tourney
Yeah it doesn't make much sense to have a newbie only tourney with a bigger prize pool than prem itself. That's just asking for trouble.
I ran a newbie only 6v6 tourney through comp.tf about 1 year ago and there was a lot of drama surrounding some players and teams and mind u the prize was just a couple dozen keys if I remember correctly.
