i know patreon is used a bit around here, and if you're currently using the site, please note that data from the site's recent hack was just [url=http://arstechnica.com/security/2015/10/gigabytes-of-user-data-from-hack-of-patreon-donations-site-dumped-online/]dumped on the internet[/url]. this seems to be the site's [u]whole database[/u], which includes [b]password hashes[/b] (which are encrypted in a way that is very hard to decrypt, but not impossible), as well as private information such as [b]addresses [/b]and [b]private messages[/b].

if you use the same password that you use on patreon on other websites, i recommend changing it. depending on the way that [b]payment info[/b] was stored in the database (it's still being extracted by researchers), further action may have to be taken in regards to credit and debit cards, so watch your bank statements carefully.

please make sure that you spread this info to anyone who you know uses patreon, this is a pretty big hack at the moment.
