I'm planning to move from an apartment into a house this summer. There's currently no internet connection at all and I haven't found any way to set a wired one here. So I wanted to ask if there's some way to set up a wireless connection, which would be decent for playing games. I've got some bad experience with it, but maybe it's because of a cheap USB Wi-Fi adapter I used.
Are you saying there isn't a router setup in your new house? Because if so, the only way you could get internet is via some mobile data dongle thingy.
EDIT: there's a thread about gaming over cellular data here.

It's basically a whole new house and it's not even ready yet so yeah.
I'm gonna check that thread out.

If the house is not ready yet as in being built from the ground up you can probably get it networked properly with cat6 cable for internet. Or just have the isp install your modem next to your pc

The issue is that no local provider that can... eh... provide my house with wired internet connection.

So you mean the modem its self gets its connection through an LTE type connection? As in there is no coax going into the modem?

yea ur fucked if you can't get a line to your house, if you're actually russian I can't imagine an lte stick or satellite internet would even be remotely playable in your country. it's possible tho, an old hl teammate I had played for years with verizon lte tethered from his phone. america has decent mobile networks tho.
