Has your life improved since you quit?
I would say my life has improved drastically since I've stopped seriously playing TF2. The amount of free time I discovered once I wasn't pugging 3 hours a day and scrimming 2 hours at night changed my entire life school wise, work wise, and socially. I'm getting school work done weeks in advanced and never felt less stressed and more driven. Not to mention it has freed up time I can now dedicate to my long term long distance relationship.

Do you get bored enough to feel the urge to come back to TF2 often, or are you satisfied enough with where you are (or dissatisfied enough with TF2 when you left) to not even consider it?
I do miss jumping into mumble with friends and just getting a pug started or just having some fun playing a pub. Being an extremely competitive person I did want to make it to invite at some point and see how far I could go. I do have an overwhelming urge to return to the game at some moments, but most certainly not because I'm bored. Legend says no one really quits TF2

Did you have some other, non-videogame hobby to spend your time on, or did you exit into the world with no clear plans for what to do next? What was the main reason that you decided to quit TF2?

I combined these questions for me because its basically the same reason for both. Going off to college in the midst of a 5 year relationship makes it extremely difficult to keep things going the way they were beforehand. I frankly just needed the time at night to be able to be on the phone with her and be an attentive partner. Other than that I now have weeks worth of school work done in advanced and have enormous amount of free time to dedicate to my startup business.

And, of course, why do you browse a forum for a game you no longer play?

I still have a great interest in the game and its funny to see everyone argue in the Open and IM threads.

You got me to laugh on this one. It's funny seeing people making the same dumb/childish mistakes and arguments you had at some point.

SkittlesBTtonyswedey1) Yeah I don't feel angry or tilted at all time anymore and I'm starting to play other games that I enjoy more like Quake, Melee, Catching up on some old Zeldas and playing sports.
2) I may have quit but I do get urges to play and I do, but for the most part I just mute other players I have a history with(everyone) and it's fun. I honestly just want a case to sell for 16 bucks and buy some cheap 15 buck game lol.
3) I'm a pretty good writer and I recently joined my school's newspaper and I'm an editor atm, but I also enjoy eating but let's be real, who doesn't?
4)I decided to take a break or quit(still haven't decided) because I really don't see TF2 ever helping me in the long run. It's super hard to get anywhere with the way Valve is treating the game and the recent decline in players and incline in people leaving for OW. I don't think OW is even that fun tbh, it tilts me more than TF2.
5) I keep up with recent events in ESEA and my other thing I love to do, troll and shitpost. It's like having a 2nd Instagram or twitter to just post retarded shit and not give a damn. Plus I like to give my opinion so that's a plus. And looking in the LFT thread and giving people bumps that deserve them.

u literally just got here lmao

uhhh what? I played tf2 since like 2010 early 2011 so no I didn't just get here

Has your life improved since you quit?

Pretty much the same. Just shifted my focus to OW/CS

Do you get bored enough to feel the urge to come back to TF2 often, or are you satisfied enough with where you are (or dissatisfied enough with TF2 when you left) to not even consider it?

I surf mostly. I do miss the movement but other than that, pretty much no urge to comeback unless money and competition is flourishing.

Did you have some other, non-videogame hobby to spend your time on, or did you exit into the world with no clear plans for what to do next?

Still make beats, workout, and compete.

What was the main reason that you decided to quit TF2?

Didn't get to participate in an iSeries.

And, of course, why do you browse a forum for a game you no longer play?

See if tournaments pop up around my area.

just playing a pug here and then is a lot more fun tbh, it makes the times i had to tryhard look like such a chore. saying that, i'm glad i got super into tf2 when i was quite young (and in college) when my time wasn't as important, and that i got good then and kinda kept that without having to play nearly as much.

tl;dr i think playing less but enjoying it more is a lot better than the other way round in terms of improving, i think i58 was my best LAN and part of that was cause i just really enjoyed playing and didn't overplay/practice for it

(its 2am and this post may be confusing tbh)

Has your life improved since you quit?
Yes. Since I quit I am much better about schoolwork, I go out with friends more and I can put more hours into theatre at my school. I consider myself much happier and my social life has improved a ton since I quit.

No. I hardly play games at all anymore, just never have the urge.

I wanted to put more time into theatre so I could gain some more experience before I headed off to college. I also wanted to have more free time so I could enjoy my senior year as best I could.

What was the main reason that you decided to quit TF2?
I was really unhappy with playing on all my teams. I had an incredible time when I was on Blue Elephant in seasons 19/20 and it kind of spoiled me. Every team I was on afterwards lacked the same chemistry I felt with all my previous teammates, which made me lose all motivation to try and do well.

And, of course, why do you browse a forum for a game you no longer play?
I still think the community is great and the game is fun to watch.
