I just bought a Visa Vanilla giftcard under the assumption that i could pay my ESEA fees with it. Unfortunately this does not appear to be the case.
Can someone pay my premium for me?
I will buy you a game our something...

I already tried that. It wouldn't let me. Card works just fine for other stuff though. Just bought my teammate a g400 :)

He could just add the card to a PayPal account or a Google Wallet account, that's what worked for me.
Don't you have a bank account, checking or savings, either one would work for paypal? Also those prepaid cards are such a scam people should not be using them. So many hidden fees
Google wallet seems to have worked. Don't know yet. How long does it usually take to clear?

15mins at most.
Took about an hour for my friend, but the email they send you says a couple days. Another teammate had the same problem as you. He could pay his league fees with Paypal + Prepaid card but had to use Google Wallet to pay his Premium. It was weird.

There is an activation fee when you buy it, which is like $7 for a $150 card, not even a problem. That's the only fee I've ever seen.
They are also incredibly useful for people who don't have credit cards, and as gifts.

How is that not a problem? That's throwing money away for no reason. Plus if you don't use the entire balance within a certain amount of time they usually start deducting money.
going from "i dont have any way to buy shit online" to "i have to pay 7 extra bucks but now have the ability to buy shit online" would definitely constitute a "no problem"
